Engagement in scientific research at a young age was crucial to my development as a scientist and solidified my interest in ecology. I believe that science is not about science, science is about people. Therefore, I am dedicated to continuing science education throughout my career.

Check out the Alabama Prison Arts and Education Program! This series allows students in Alabama prisons to attend on-site lectures focused on a variety of scientific topics. It is an incredibly rewarding and influential program that I have participated with this last year.

The Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology hosts a blog page that publishes articles on scientific work authored by members and features members that integrate creativity and science through their "Art in Bio" section. Auburn University hosts multiple STEM outreach programs for children K-12th grade. The College of Science and Mathematics Outreach Office hosts The Summer Science Institute for 11th and 12th grade students on various careers in STEM. The AU Museum of Natural History hosts a week long summer camp for 5th-7th graders on museum curation. Check out a few photos below!
